Remote Desktops

Need to use Matlab, ArcGIS, or another software but can't (or don't want to) install it locally on your computer? Remote desktop may be the solution!

Remote desktop allow you to access and us a computer (say, in the GIC at McGill) from your own personal device.

Installation

Simply open or download the Microsoft Remote Desktop app and follow the instructions to add a McGill computer. Keep in mind you need to be connected to McGill's VPN to use a remote desktop.

Like the VPN, this service is completely free for all McGill students, faculty, and staff.
